The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is an international financial institution founded in 1991. As a multilateral developmental investment bank, the EBRD invests in building market economies.
The EBRD saw this project as an opportunity to
reimagine the way it works and embrace digital innovation. After a period of due
diligence it decided to relocate its 2800 staff in London to a new HQ, a state-of-the-art
building in Canary Wharf. The vision was to co-create and deliver a
best-in-class working environment for with an emphasis on wellbeing,
sustainability, diversity and inclusion.

The key focus of this project is to support the EBRD with their sustainability goals, pledging to become a majority green bank by 2025.
The 26 storey skyscraper has been acknowledged as one of the most
environmentally advanced buildings in the UK. By futureproofing their IT
platform, making it more flexible and supporting with dedicated monitoring and
control the business can benefit from data insights which can ensure they are
at the forefront of operation efficiencies and sustainability. Smart Building
technologies across the spaces provide data which supports room usage and
building occupancy within innovative and inspiring surroundings.
Our solution
This project delivered over 300+ meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, dining and divisible event spaces across 13 floors. From small booths to standard meeting spaces, collaboration zones to a double height auditorium and ante space capable of seating over 100 people with broadcast grade facilities including dedicated simultaneous translation booths to support broadcast in multiple languages.
The EBRD implemented a Microsoft Teams UC environment with full connectivity and functionality linking to the regional offices, providing a highly automated and easy to use experience.
