proAV Attends UCX 2024 at ExCeL London
proAV joined industry leaders at UCX 2024, exploring the latest in technology and innovation.
proAV was thrilled to attend UCX 2024 at ExCeL London, where we had the opportunity to explore solutions from our partners. It was a fantastic occasion to reconnect with them and strengthen our relationships across the industry. The event allowed us to experience firsthand the latest advancements in unified communications, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.
A common theme we noticed was the growing significance of AI technology in the workplace. The term ‘AI’ is often thrown around, but what exactly does it encompass? We witnessed live demonstrations from our partners showcasing their camera tracking features, powered by advanced algorithms. From perspective tracking to zone creation, these innovations create a truly immersive experience. Have you ever been at an event where a noise from across the stage diverts all attention to one spot? With AI, that’s a thing of the past. The future is bright with real-time tracking features and continuous development, making the AV industry more dynamic than ever.
Another key topic in the AV sector is the increasing use of video conferencing in education. The educational sector plays a critical role in AV, and it’s encouraging to see the growing interest in enhancing learning through technology. For example, as universities have transitioned to hybrid learning models, offering students the flexibility to attend in person or virtually, it has become essential to ensure that lecturers maintain the same level of engagement, regardless of how students participate.
Without the right technology, virtual attendees can often feel disconnected. A common issue arises during group activities or presentations when the camera remains in a wide-angle view, capturing everyone, while the audio quality suffers. This makes it difficult for remote participants to focus, especially when background noise, such as coughing or side conversations, becomes distracting. This is where advanced video conferencing solutions, such as those provided by our partners, come into play. These systems feature presenter-tracking capabilities, ensuring that the camera and audio stay focused on the person speaking, creating a more immersive experience. This makes remote attendees feel like they’re in the room and helps minimise distractions, allowing everyone to remain engaged with the speaker. We also had the chance to attend insightful talks on key topics, such as the audiovisual industry’s increasing focus on the educational sector. Seeing the new releases was exciting, and we are eager for what lies ahead.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s UCX and the continued opportunities it offers for growth and collaboration.
