""If I could go back, I would like to spend more time in the production facility so I could do more of the practical tasks like building a rack and learning how to programme the AV equipment, oh and practise my pool shots!""
In July 2022, Archie spent time at proAV's main office and facilities in Surrey as part of a work experience assignment for secondary school. During the week, Archie spent time across a variety of different departments and teams including our technical teams such as our client services helpdesk, engineering and rack building, in addition to the marketing and sales teams. After the week had passed, Archie shared his thoughts on his time at proAV.
‘My week’s work experience at proAV featured a combination of hands-on experience in the production facility, learning how to terminate cables and build racking, and time spent in other departments getting a taste of what they do and how to support the business. With the Marketing team I saw how information is shared with staff, how social media posts and website content is created and what a graphic designer does. I also learnt about the bid process and saw the VNOC where I learnt all about the Service process and how a helpdesk system is run. If I could go back, I would like to spend more time in the production facility so I could do more of the practical tasks like building a rack and learning how to programme the AV equipment, oh and practise my pool shots!’
