proAV staff raise £2000 for good causes
proAV staff continue to raise cash for key charities.
Every year, employees at proAV embark on a series of fundraising activities and challenges to raise money for good causes and, this Christmas, succeeded in raising almost £2000 for charities that are close to the organisation’s heart. This month proAV has presented these much-needed funds to a collection of UK charities that were nominated by its team.
"Christmas is a time when most people are thinking about gifts for friends and family," said Mike Phillpot, Marketing Director at proAV.
‘So we were all incredibly touched by the efforts of proAV’s staff to get involved with a fundraising campaign that would benefit both national charities and those closer to home, like our adopted charity, White Lodge Centre in Chertsey, for whom we’ve raised more than £166,000 to date.
’A raffle at the Christmas Party raised £1490 for White Lodge Centre, which helps disabled children, young people and adults, families and carers across Surrey and the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, the organisation’s backing of the Text Santa Christmas Jumper appeal raised £155 for Macmillan Cancer Support, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Save the Children and a concerted effort in cake-baking and other such activities raised more than £330 for NSPCC and saw the fundraising pot swell to £1975.
