Hotel Transformation
The first NH Hotel Group establishment opened its inaugural doors in Pamplona in 1978. The Group is one of the 25 largest chains in the world, operating over 350 hotels, each with its own contemporary twist, across Europe, America and Africa. nhow London displays the Group’s modern cutting-edge style with design-led decor.
The four-star, 190-bedroom hotel officially opened its doors in January 2020. It is set between the City, Islington and Shoreditch, within the 250 City Road Development that was designed by Foster + Partners, award-winning architectural practice. With an eye-catching theme of ‘London Reloaded’, the interior design created by Project Orange combines traditional British icons and unconventional contemporary elements.
Following a comprehensive tender process, proAV was commissioned by fit-out contractor, Willmott Dixon Interiors, to deliver a building-wide, integrated AV solution that would enhance the guest experience within this vibrant hotel. Working closely with the consultant IPT Design, the scope of works covered all 190 bedrooms, restaurant, bar, gym, networking spaces, meeting rooms and other facilities that were expertly styled by architect, James Soane of Project Orange interiors studio to create a space where tradition and innovation collide.

The result The avant-garde backdrop of the nhow London enabled us to deploy our experience of next-generation AV to stunning effect across all guest touchpoints in the hotel. The result for nhow’s first foray into the UK is a superb example of how an innovative audio visual scheme can challenge the perception of what can be achieved in a technology-led interior guest space. All bedrooms and suites have professional, vibrant displays with built-in access to engaging content and apps while the ubiquitous digital signage solution and powerful, yet very discrete background music system delivers impact, messaging, entertainment and atmosphere throughout. The hotel’s business space, meanwhile, offers everything the commercial traveller needs to deliver memorable presentation and conferencing events. proAV is well established in the hospitality sector having transformed a number of prestigious hotel interiors with advanced AV schemes, smart meeting and presentation environments and memorable guest experiences. The Ned, The Beaumont Hotel, Sea Containers London and, more recently, the Biltmore Mayfair hotels have all experienced our dedicated approach to technology.
